About the horizontal bungee run

The horizontal bungee run is a head-to-head race that draws a crowd at every event. Two players strap into bungee fittings at opposite ends of the inflatable lane. On the count of three, they sprint forward and try to get as far along the lane as they can before the cord snaps them back. The resistance increases the further you run, so the last few metres are the hardest. The player who gets furthest wins the round. The game is simple to explain, quick to run, and hard to stop watching once it starts.

This game suits ages 8 and up. It is popular at kids' birthday parties, school fetes, corporate team building days, community events, and adult celebrations. Rounds take 30 to 60 seconds each, so large groups rotate through quickly without long waits between turns.

Specifications

You need a flat area of at least 15m x 5m for the bungee run. This allows for clearance around the inflatable, which measures 9m x 4m. The 2.5m height is lower than most jumping castles, but check for overhanging branches or overhead lines before we arrive. At $320 for 4 hours, the horizontal bungee run is priced lower than Sydney-based operators, who typically charge upwards of $400 and do not service the Central Coast. Your delivery fee is added at checkout based on your suburb and shows before you pay.

Delivery and setup

We deliver the bungee run to your event and our team handles the full setup and pack down. You tell us the date, the address, and the hire duration, and we arrive before the event starts. We secure the inflatable with stakes on grass or sandbags on hard surfaces, connect the blower, and carry out a setup check before leaving. At the end of the hire, we come back, deflate the inflatable, and take it away. Setup and pack down are in the hire price.

Your site needs a flat area of at least 15m x 5m, a 240V power outlet within 15m, and clear access for our team. Clear the area of anything that could damage the inflatable before we arrive.

Our team carries out a full setup check before every hire. Participants must be at least 8 years old. An adult must supervise at all times while the game is in use. Bungee fittings must be checked before each run. Jump About carries $20 million public liability insurance for every hire. Shoes off before entering the inflatable.
