Terms & Conditions
Last Updated:Last updated: 7 May 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to every hire booked through Jump About Party Hire ("we", "us", "Jump About"). Booking a hire means you accept these terms.
Jump About is operated by John Robert Fowler, sole trader, ABN 72 661 277 134. Our address is Shop 3, Unit 16/35 Amsterdam Cct, Wyong NSW 2259. We hire to customers across the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
What's included in your hire
- The inflatable or piece of equipment
- The electric blower, which runs throughout the hire
- Stakes for grass setup or sandbags for hard surfaces
- Professional setup and a safety check on arrival
- Pack down and collection at the end of the hire
- Safety mats at entry and exit points
- $20 million public liability insurance for every hire
What's not included
- Delivery — this is an extra fee, set per suburb at checkout (see Delivery below).
- A generator if you need power away from a household power point. Generator hire is available — contact us for pricing.
- Any costs to obtain venue or council permission for hires on public land.
Paying for your hire
Payment is taken in full at the time of booking. Hire prices are listed per product on the page you're booking from. Prices are in Australian dollars and are GST-free (Jump About is not registered for GST).
Delivery
Every hire is delivered, set up, packed down and collected by our team. There is no DIY pick-up option.
Where we deliver
We cover the Central Coast (postcodes 2250–2267), Newcastle (2278–2318) and the Hunter Valley (2311, 2320–2421). The full suburb list, with the delivery fee for each, is on our Delivery Areas page. If your suburb isn't on the list, get in touch before you book — we can sometimes deliver to a suburb just outside the standard zones for a custom fee.
Delivery fees
Delivery is an extra fee, separate from the hire price. The fee is set per suburb and ranges from $60 for nearby Central Coast suburbs up to $160 for the furthest parts of the Hunter Valley. You'll see your suburb's delivery fee at checkout, before you pay.
Delivery and collection times
We deliver and set up before the hire start time you booked. If you need a specific delivery window — for example, "before 11 am for a 12 pm party start" — let us know in the order notes and we'll do our best to fit it.
Collection is at the end of the hire period:
- 4-hour hire: we collect at the end of the 4 hours.
- Full day hire (9 am – 4 pm): we collect at 4 pm.
- 24-hour hire: we collect the next day, before 6 pm. The inflatable is deflated overnight and re-inflated by you (or by us, if arranged) before next-day use. We'll show you how at setup.
What we need from you on delivery day
- Be home at the address from the start of the agreed delivery window.
- Make sure we have safe, clear vehicle access.
- Have the setup site clear of debris, sticks, rocks and pet waste.
- Have a household power point within 25 metres of the setup spot, or a generator pre-arranged with us.
- Be there to receive a brief safety walkthrough — it takes about 5 minutes.
By accepting these terms, you give Jump About permission to enter the property at the booked address to deliver, set up and collect the inflatable. If access is blocked or not available at the agreed time, additional fees may apply for return trips.
Collection deadline
If we can't access the inflatable at the scheduled collection time — for example, the inflatable has been moved, the gate is locked, or no one is on site — an overnight fee applies and we will return the next morning.
Same-day and last-minute bookings
We accept same-day bookings when the hire and our delivery schedule allow it. Phone us on 0422 594 335 to check availability — same-day requests aren't always confirmable through the website.
General rules of use
The person who books the hire (the "hirer") is responsible for everyone using the inflatable. By accepting these terms, you agree that:
- An adult over 18 must supervise the inflatable at all times during the hire.
- Users must remove shoes and any sharp objects (including jewellery) before entering.
- Children must be grouped by similar age and size. Maximum users at one time depends on the inflatable size — check the size guide on the product page. Most castles take 6–10 children.
- No one over 100 kg may use a kids' inflatable. Adult inflatables have their own weight limits — check the product page.
- No flips, no wrestling, no climbing on the walls or roof.
- No food, drinks, lollies, silly string, glitter, water, sand, mud, paint or pets on the inflatable.
- The inflatable must not be moved from where our team set it up.
- The blower must run continuously while the inflatable is in use. If it stops, follow the instructions our team gave you on arrival to disembark children safely.
Setup site requirements
The hirer is responsible for the setup site. Before we arrive:
- Clear the site of debris, sticks, rocks and pet waste. Pet faeces on the site forfeits your booking with no credit.
- Make sure there's enough flat space — the size requirement is on each product page.
- Make sure we have safe vehicle access to deliver the inflatable.
- Make sure there's a household power point within 25 metres of the setup spot, or arrange a generator with us in advance.
Public spaces and venues
If you're hiring for a park, hall, school or any public space, you must have written permission from the venue or council before the hire. Send confirmation to us at least 72 hours before the hire date. Without it, we may not be able to set up and standard cancellation terms apply.
Damages and cleaning
The inflatable must be returned in the condition it arrived in. The hirer is responsible for any damage caused by misuse or by the rules above being broken.
- Cleaning charge for excessive mess (food, drink, mud, face paint, etc): from $200.
- Repair charge for damage that can be fixed: from $500, plus $100 per hour of labour.
- Replacement charge if the inflatable is damaged beyond repair, lost, or not returned: from $2,000, up to the full replacement cost of the unit.
These are minimums. Actual charges depend on the damage. We'll always show you photos and an itemised breakdown.
No alterations
You may not modify, attach to, or affix anything to the inflatable. No paint, stickers, decorations, climbing structures or anything else. If you want decorations for your event, set them up around the inflatable, not on it.
Title and ownership
The inflatable remains our property at all times. You may not sub-let, sell, or transfer the hire to another person.
Warranty and limit of liability
We supply every inflatable in safe working order, certified to Australian Standard AS3533.4. If a fault develops during the hire that's not caused by misuse, our obligation is limited to repair, replacement, or a refund of the hire fee for the affected period. We are not liable for any consequential loss — for example, loss of enjoyment, loss of business, or any other costs you incur as a result of an inflatable being unavailable.
Waiver and release of liability
By booking a hire, the hirer accepts full responsibility for the safe operation of the inflatable during the hire period. The hirer releases Jump About from any claim, demand, action or cost arising from any injury, illness, loss or damage to any person or property during the hire, except to the extent caused by our own negligence. The hirer agrees to indemnify Jump About against any third-party claim brought as a result of the hire.
Refunds, cancellations and weather
Refunds, cancellations, and the optional Castle Guarantee are covered in our Refund Policy.
Privacy
Your personal information is handled per our Privacy Policy.
Entire agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Jump About for any hire.
